Where Passion Meets Professionalism in High School Bass Fishing
The High School Bass Trail (HSBT) is a premier high school bass fishing tournament trail built for student anglers who want more than just a weekend event—they want a true competitive bass fishing experience.
Founded in 2022 by Jeremy Gallman and Rex Moncrief, HSBT was created with one clear mission: to operate high school bass fishing tournaments with the standards, structure, and professionalism of elite bass fishing organizations.
This isn’t backyard fishing. This is tournament bass fishing for high school anglers.
A Proven Tournament Trail on Legendary Fisheries
Since its inception, HSBT has taken high school anglers to some of the most respected bass fisheries in the region:
- Red River (High School Bass Classic 2022)
- Caddo Lake (High School Bass Classic 2023)
- Caney Reservoir (High School Bass Classic 2024)
- Black Lake Campti, Bistineau, Caney Reservoir, Caddo all during the 2025 Trail Season
In 2026, HSBT continues the 5-event high school bass fishing trail, giving student anglers a full-season tournament schedule designed to test consistency, skill, strategy, and mental toughness—just like the next level demands.
Our mission is to create a platform where high school anglers can elevate their game, experience tournament-style fishing at its best, and prepare for the next level of competitive angling. Join us on this journey, as we cast into the future of high school bass fishing, where every cast, every fish, and every event counts!
Don’t take our word for it though – sign up and fish!

The High School Bass Trail is a premier high school bass fishing league built to deliver competitive bass fishing for high school anglers who want more than casual events. Our high school bass fishing tournaments are designed for serious student angler bass fishing, blending skill, strategy, and accountability in a true tournament bass fishing trail environment. HSBT is led by tournament directors and volunteer staff who were part of the original team that helped launch North Louisiana high school bass fishing into widespread popularity, long before it became the crowded space it is today. That experience shapes everything we do—from how events are run to how young anglers are challenged and prepared. From junior & youth bass fishing newcomers to seasoned competitors, HSBT provides a clear collegiate bass fishing pathway by exposing anglers to real-world tournament conditions that mirror the next level of competition.
Proudly rooted in Louisiana high school bass fishing and the broader regional tournament scene, HSBT operates with professional tournament standards that parents can trust. Every event is built around safe and structured events, with a strong emphasis on angler development, sportsmanship and conservation, and respect for fisheries and fellow competitors. Our focus goes beyond trophies—we emphasize preparation for collegiate competition, teaching young anglers how to compete, communicate, and conduct themselves like true tournament professionals. The result is a high school bass fishing experience shaped by experience, credibility, and a deep understanding of what it takes to build the next generation of competitive anglers.
